Stockwell farm
Beautiful scenery.. Wonderful organic veggies. Lots to learn and plenty to explore in the Matanuska Valley. Trails to hike and lots of mts to climb. Also downtown palmer is a 15 drive away. There is a spare car for volunteers to share on the weekend and we have a community dinner every night.
I've been farming this area for 20 years and and Randy has been helping me with volunteering help and cooking and farmers markets for over 8 years.

This was truly a life altering experience, it is always nerve wracking to enter an unknown place meeting people you dont know. But the farm immediately felt like another family. There was shared work and overall sense of caring and community throughout all farm work and when finishing the work days. Randy and Audrey were amazing with organizing and directing what to be done for work and took initiative to plan outings after work. Vern is a wonderful host, having a well organized system for meals and dishes. I will be coming back :)

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Stockwell Farm. Vern is a fantastic host, the food was fresh and delicious, and the work was fun and varied. The Matanuska Valley is truly stunning, and we had such a blast exploring the area with the hosts and other Worldpackers. I wish we could've stayed longer! Highly, highly recommend!

My experience at the farm was truly unforgettable. Randy and Vern are the most special and wonderful people who made the farm feel like a home away from home. Everything, from the food to the work to the hikes and the time we spent together was fulfilling. This experience was life-changing and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending it to anyone looking for a formative Worldpackers trip.

I'm so happy I came to the farm farms and spent about a month there. You will get to see as much of the nature and area as your heart desires. I loved all the hikes we went on and also had a lot of fun camping on the weekend. I had so many memorable moments and feel grateful for the true home Vern and Randy have created here 🫶.. also the food they cook is delicious and I'm so appreciative that they always cooked for different dietary restrictions :)

They always invited us to their camps and hikes! 🥾 The food is AMAZING and healthy!! 🤤Field jobs are easy as long as you enjoy contact with nature. 🌱I will definitely return to this beautiful place!!
