The best way to get to know us, is through our amazing team. We will leave some testimonials below :)
Mattia, May 2025-November 2025: "Working at the hostel was both challenging and rewarding. I helped out during the renovation and got to see the place grow day by day. It went from having just a few guests to becoming a lively, vibrant spot full of amazing people, all thanks to the care and effort that so many put into the project.
I was lucky enough to be part of an incredible team of full-time staff and workawayers, sharing unforgettable moments, countless laughs… and yes, a few headaches on those crazy busy days!
If you love surfing, Strandhill is the perfect place for you! Zuhe will make you fall in love with riding the waves with his endless energy and good vibes.
The hostel is in a super convenient location, just a short walk to the bus stop, and Sligo is only 20 minutes away by bus.
Honestly, the perfect spot for your Irish summer!"
Luca, July 2025-September 2025: "I've been in Strandhill for 2 months and my time there was very fun and relaxing, I met beautiful people and maybe I was also lucky but the team I worked with was amazing, everything was well coordinated and nobody was puts pressure on you (as long as you do your part properly of course:)
The place is beautiful, it's a small town but very lively, the surrounding is so beautiful and there's a lot of stuff to do but the best you can choose is surfing, Zuhe is a great teacher and every lesson was a lot of fun, he's mainly busy with the surf school but you can always reach out to him and he often pass by the hostel anyway to check that everything and everyone is ok.
The accommodation was not 5 stars but you get a private room (or caravan 😂) and to me this is already a luxury when you live in a hostel.
Overall it was a great experience, I made good friends here and if I'll go to Ireland again I'd definitely pass by."
Hopefully we can one day add your testimonial here!
