I had an amazing experience down here, stayed for a little less than two weeks and I just felt like home. The place is beautiful and the village is absolutely stunning with the river and the beach nearby.
David is a really nice person, if you want to have an authentic experience I would definitely recommend.

Our week at the camping was fantastic. The place is truly peaceful and relaxing. The welcome was wonderful; we felt at home very quickly despite our limited English. We learned to make South American recipes, which was very interesting. Plus, we got to try the best burgers in Brazil at the camping. Thank you for the warm welcome, and see you next time! Big up!

The camping is an amazing place to volunteer at. Davi was helpful, cheerful and super friendly the whole time. He showed us the village, the nearby places too, cooked us amazing meals and was genuinely worried about us having a good experience. I managed to meet many locals, learnt a lot about taking care of a the camping site and about construction. I made real connections with the many friends we encountered at the camping and it felt like a real family was formed. I am very grateful for this experience, which made me fall in love with Bahia even more! I super recommend it.

We had a wonderful time with David at the camping. Being a traveller and volunteer himself he really knows how to welcome people and organize the volunteering part. The place is close to the beach and tidy because it's both a living place and a restaurant/ clamping. The tasks and schedules were diverse and flexible which was eenjoyable. We are very grateful for David's generosity and trust. Good luck finding a better cook than David in Bahia :)

An interesting project, you can see the work with your own hands—from cooking to the construction of the cabins. I had the opportunity to help him with one of them, painting the roof. Keeping the spaces clean and taking out the trash, organizing the kitchen. On Fridays and Saturdays the restaurant opens. That was the most exhausting and unexpected part for me since I had never done it before, and it can be a bit stressful if you're not used to doing things quickly.
David was always patient in telling me how to do things and even in correcting my mistakes. May the project continue to grow :)
