My experience with Giannina was absolutely wonderful. She is such a lovely person, always willing to help and incredibly caring and kind.
From the very beginning, she made me feel at home.
She cooks delicious food and always made sure everyone felt comfortable and happy.
One of the things I enjoyed the most was that she took us to explore so many beautiful places around Flamingo, which made the experience even more special.
Staying with her was truly an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend her as a Worldpackers host.

Thank you for everything, Giannina!

Sadly, I can't recommend it here. I've done tons of exchanges, and there's very little that bothers me. I even did extra work for Gia! BUT I want to warn others: any messages you get from her are actually from previous volunteers. She does not actually offer daily breakfast, nor did she stick to consistent hours (or even tasks!) The sleeping spaces are kept at about 91°F or 32°C, and when we asked to use the AC attached to our own wall, she told us we could turn it on for $200USD. The other volunteers even reported leaving false positive reviews for this experience in fear of retaliation.

We highlighted the concern to offer vegan food options and, in my case, gluten-free as well. It was a very positive aspect of the experience. Our volunteering was different depending on the description; in addition to tasks related to social media, we carried out cleaning duties at the hostel, which was not clearly specified. Areas for improvement: greater organization regarding the weekly schedule, duties and priorities. We believe it would be important to improve the volunteering experience.

We appreciate the opportunity to have participated in this volunteering experience and highlight the host's willingness to accommodate our vegan diet, an aspect we value greatly.
However, our experience was different from what we expected based on the published description. In addition to tasks related to social media, we carried out cleaning and maintenance duties that were not clearly specified at the time of applying.
We believe that greater clarity in the roles and better organization would contribute to a more positive experience for future volunteers.

The Flamingo Cabinas hotel is a very beautiful place. Close to very beautiful beaches that you can access easily, whether by private transport or public transport. I recommend the stay since it's simple and it gives you the perfect time to explore the area before nightfall. There's a supermarket nearby and the lady provides breakfast for you. Giannina is a very kind person who always makes sure you are well.

Giannina replied

It was very nice to share cultural experiences with Milton; he was always contributing in the best possible way, attentive to all the needs of the place, a good companion who worked well in a team, he communicated and integrated with the whole group, with a cheerful character. He helped us with gardening and computing, and he took good photos and videos of the place. We invite you to this home of yours in Flamingo so you can return as many times as you want. Thank you
