The Experience

It's basically bedmaking, cleaning and check-in, but in a party hostel. It's a great opportunity to meet locals and hangout with them. It's really a good way to learn Japanese if you're interested. To be noted about our hostel: - the common area is a bar - the kitchen is limited (in Osaka we usually eat out) - we help settling your phone number, bank account and else - staff is in their 20s/30s - our community is benevolent and loving

I really recommend volunteering at the hostel! The work is easy, the location is amazing, and the staff is really nice. It's also a great place to meet people you can get along with! It's also really easy to ask for days off if you want to explore. Stephan and Yoko are very caring and welcoming! Thank you! 🥰

I had a wonderful time at the hostel. Stephane is a friendly, caring, and helpful host who always made sure everything was okay and our needs were met. The work was easy, with tasks including the cafe, check-in, and cleaning (volunteers only help with cleaning on weekends). I met great people and felt like part of a family. The hostel is very clean (Yoko is the best!) and close to Namba and Dotonbori, the center of Osaka. Kitchen facilities are limited, but you can use the microwave, air fryer, and small oven during the day. They're unavailable once the hostel opens. Thank you Stephane!

Working at the hostel was my favourite part about being in Japan! The hours are completely fair and it's very easy to ask for time off if you want to go explore areas around Osaka. Stephane was an amazing host and communicated what needed to get done and when. If I am ever back in Osaka I know exactly where I am staying🫶🏻

Staying at the hostel was truly a fun and memorable experience! You get to meet many amazing travelers and locals coming through the hostel, and the volunteering is simple, relaxed, and enjoyable. It's a great way to hang out with people, connect, and learn more about the beauty and culture of Osaka. Stéphane is incredible ! one of the most chill, caring, and genuinely friendly hosts. He is always willing to help in any way he can and welcomes everyone with an open heart and open arms. If you are looking for fun, making new friends and enjoy the party life~ this is the place to be!
