This was a really nice volunteering. Yakir is an extremely kind person. I immediately felt at home in his house. He rode his Bike all over South America, so it was really nice to talk with him about it. We did all kind of random cool stuff like walking the property with a metal detector and trying to find some things (we didn't :D). We planted Tomatoes, Oregano, Cucumber, Watermelon and Basil. We found a sweet lemon tree, which we harvested and we also tried to make clones of it, time will tell whether it was successful or not. I also met some of his friends and got to know Vilcabamba better!

The property is a peaceful farm about 15 minutes from Vilcabamba, with amazing views, frequent rainbows, and beautiful starry skies. Very safe. The work is mostly hands-on and outdoors, ideal if you enjoy gardening and working with nature. There were always different tasks to do, making each day interesting and productive.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and Yakir is flexible, active, and always open to new ideas. He's passionate about the project and makes you feel welcome from day one. Great Host! I'd definitely come back!
