The Experience

Do you have experience with gardening or permaculture and a desire for community living? In our eco-village in the Axarquí mountains, we are looking for a committed person to care for our medium-sized garden (500 m2) and around 80 fruit trees during the summer. We have irrigation installed and want to improve it. If you have a partner, both of you are welcome! Minimum stay is 1 month, preferably 3 or 6 months. Applications with greater commitment will be prioritized.

My experience is certainly influenced by the fact that I wasn't used to country life in an eco-friendly village. While I find the work and the activities here interesting and useful, my initial experience with this lifestyle was overwhelming, and I believe that some sanitation, lighting, and water conditions in the bathrooms and rooms available to volunteers (small caravans) could be improved, as well as a better welcome and in-depth explanations of the tasks and how to carry them out. In any case, I wish this project all the best for improving!
