The Experience

We are looking for active people who get along well with dogs and have plenty of love. This is a primary task: cooking meals for them, feeding them, taking them for walks twice a day, on the weekdays when we are not around due to work. There are also garden tasks: collecting rich, organic soil, making compost, collecting leaves, gathering firewood for the stove, weeding. Being physically active is a requirement.

Florcha and Gualter have beautiful hearts and energy. I truly enjoyed my time during my short 5 days living on the host. I fed and walked the dogs, collected woods for fire, organized a bookshelf and some outdoor space. When I'm not working, I cooked for myself, read, chat with other volunteers/residents on the premise, and simply enjoyed some quiet time. The land is very big with beautiful trails and creeks, which I wish I have more time to explore. This place is for respectful people who can work on their owns and are comfortable with energetic dogs. Thanks for hosting again :)

Very fun for the 2 weeks i stayed. There are not many people around but the neighbor and the owners are fun to hang around with. There are also 4 very energetic dogs around thats was also very nice. It can be a bit lonely some times but for 1-2 weeks its a good place to stay.

Flor & Gualter welcomed me very well! They treated me with affection and they are very kind people. They shared their daily lives, and thus we had many exchanges, both during meals and during tasks. My experience at the campsite was really cool and peaceful. I would definitely recommend it!!

My stay with the host has been amazing. Florcha and Gualter are incredible artists and have taught me a lot about many things, far beyond volunteering. The tasks are calm and the schedules flexible; taking care of the dogs has been a deep dive into affection and care, as well as the connection with nature. I highly recommend this volunteering opportunity to anyone who wants to be close to nature and learn how to deal with it.
