The Experience

We are a family of 4 in our household living on our glamping farm with horses and donkeys - my husband Alan and I, our 6 year old daughter Lena and my father Dieter in his 80s. My father needs extra assistance with someone in the house at all times so we need some cover when we are out of the house. He has professional carers coming 3 times a day to assist so it is a supervision role so we can ensure he is safe while we are working.

I had a brilliant time at the camping, it's in such a beautiful setting. Neasa and Alan were so friendly and welcoming. I felt safe and comfortable the whole time and was treated like part of the family. It was a great way to meet other travellers. The work was easy and we got plenty of our own time to relax in nature. I really recommend volunteering here to others - don't be afraid to go alone... you will definitely make new friends. This was my first worldpackers and I couldn't have been happier. It was a really great experience, I'd go back again for sure!

This is my first time in Ireland, and it is the best experience I could possibly have! I am surrounded by nature, enjoying a peaceful pace, and the staff are incredibly attentive and kind. Neasa and Alan are amazing hosts kind-hearted and very generous people. The work is quite relaxed and well-balanced, and we also get three meals included. I highly recommend this experience!!!

I enjoyed my stay at the camping! The people are kind, the place is quiet and the hills and woods around are beautiful. The work is not demanding and great to get some experience in hospitality. Some improvement could be made for the kitchen and common area, as it is in an open barn that gets dirty from birds, and the only place to get electricity or wifi. Around the farm, Glendalough and smaller hikes, altough not reachable independently, are a must as the scenery is stunning. I would recommend this place to someone used to camping and who loves to spend time around nature and animals.
