Our time working in Kutchan was great!
Kutchan has so much nature and activities to enjoy.
We are a couple and our private room was reallt nice. We had free veggies provided and had a weekly lunch with a variety of home cooked delicious food. We also had access to the group car which was great.
The work was enjoyable and simple with good instructions and everyone was friendly.
Would definitely recommend this work away to experience Hokkaido!

I had a great time here and would definitely recommend this position to other people. The work was never strenuous and I had a lot of free time to wander around the city and nearby locations as well! The town is quaint, but everyone is very friendly and welcoming to foreigners. I always looked forward to the end of the work week where Sanae would cook the most delicious meals and we could all gather around and talk. This is a great way to learn more about renovation.

I had a great experience! I worked alongside other volunteers helping to renovate a home, the tasks included painting, sanding, and varnishing, among others, and everything was well explained. The house where we stayed was comfortable and equipped with everything needed for daily life. I shared unforgettable moments there with everyone, they were truly kind! I am very grateful for this experience! Thank you Scott!

I really enjoyed my experience volunteering in Niseko. The other volunteers were very friendly and created a welcoming, comfortable community.
The work schedule is clear and strictly followed, (Monday to Thursday, from 8:00hr to 13:30hr), although the safety equipment could be improved. Communication with the host at work can sometimes be unclear, so patience is important.
The host is kind and easygoing, and the weekly group meal was delicious!
The accommodation is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and seasonal vegetables are provided.
I had a good experience here 🫶🏻

We spend two wonderful weeks in Kutchan volunteering alongside Scott. Everything was clearly explained upon our arrival and the accommodation was high quality and private, something we really appreciated ! The work is quite challenging but very interesting ; you’ll be helping to renovate several accommodations. In our case that involved painting, sanding and varnishing. Scott provides plenty of vegetables for your meals, which is fantastic and a vehicles are available for getting around ! I highly recommend this experience to anyone linking to immerse themselves in a lovely Hokkaido town !!
