The Experience

We have a small snack bar at the hostel and we are looking for a volunteer to help us during the hours when our cook is on her break during the day. The tasks include preparing food, keeping the kitchen area clean and organized, and helping with basic service. We are also looking for help at the bar, serving drinks, taking orders and keeping the bar area tidy <3

I really enjoyed my stay here! I was at the hostel in July/August during dead season and still had a great time. There were a few days where there weren't many guests but I still was able to relax and meet new people. I was able to meet so many locals too. Hanna goes grocery shopping every week so I was able to prepare basically all of my meals and snacks with food provided. I was originally scheduled for two weeks at the hostel but ended up extending for an additional two weeks. There is so much to do around Santa Ana!

Hanna replied

Thank you so much Erica for your words! <3 We’re really sorry that we didn’t realize the deadline for leaving your review had passed. Since you stayed with us longer than originally planned, we completely missed it! :( but we really appreciated you as a volunteer and as a person. You were friendly, responsible, positive and always willing to help!. It was a big pleasure having you with us!!
Thank you again for everything and we hope to see you again one day!

I absolutely loved my time at the hostel Bell's Hostel — it was a dream. Work expectations and schedule were clear from the start, and Hannah was amazing: communicative, flexible, and supportive. The property is beautiful and spotless, the staff are super kind, and the other volunteers were welcoming and fun. There's also lots of cool stuff to do around Santa Ana. Highly recommend!

Spent about 2 weeks here, had a really enjoyable time. Work wasn't too strenuous and had more than enough time to explore other places and do activities

I had so much fun here and had a great team. Mario and Hanna were great hosts. Always communicated and was there for anything we needed! It's upfront and transparent on tasks you will do. I liked also they have weights in the back garden to work out with!

I had such a wonderful time here volunteering at the hostel. I felt super welcomed by all the volunteers and loved how cute and comfortable this hostel was. So many little spaces to find your peace in. The work was very manageable, I was able to explore lots of the city as well as doing day trips on my days off to the lake, waterfalls and volcano hike. Overall 10/10 I recommend if you want a relaxing stay and love to meet lots of new friendly people!
