It was a great experience at the hostel, where I was able to interact with people of different nationalities. The activities were exactly as advertised; on days when you have to do two shifts to complete the required hours it gets tiring, but that doesn't always happen. Wei Yi is a sweetheart, super open and understanding, and also very flexible with my schedule. All the volunteers are wonderful.

While the workload was a bit hectic at times, I can't help but still rate this hostel 4 stars bc of the AMAZING VOLUNTEERS I got to both live & work with! This place wouldn't be the same without them! They were really truly one of a kind ppl ❤️ When I arrived, I immediately felt welcomed & part of the team. & to the management team & baristas- thank you for everything. Until we meet again!

WARNING: Not volunteering, but exploitation.
I joined this hostel to teach yoga and create content. However, after internal issues, they changed my duties to cleaning. Though it wasn't what we agreed on, I accepted because I had nowhere else to go—a huge mistake. The hostel is in poor condition, and the shifts are truly exploitative unpaid labor. They only provide a low-quality "breakfast" (coffee, sugar, and dairy with zero protein). I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. It's not a volunteer program; it's a trap for free labor. Avoid it.

We are disappointed by this review as it does not reflect the reality of what happened. You were hired for a 2-week trial for a new activity role. When we mutually agreed that the role wasn't working, you explicitly agreed to switch to housekeeping and chose to stay. However, you suddenly packed and left in the middle of the night without any notice, leaving assigned tasks undone and racking up 10 unworked hours owed to our team. We wish you better communication with your future hosts.
