The Experience

We need support in the everyday maintenance of the House like house-sitting, cleaning-up the rooms, changing the sheets. On weekends it's more busy as hikers arrive and tourist groups arrive, and we need support more in the kitchen background, like cooking pancakes, preparing vegetables, do the washing up. We always work in team so our volunteer can choose the daily task that fits better for him / her.

I spent an amazing time here and Im so grateful with Viktor and Szofi who were the best host and were always kind with me and ready to help me in anything I needed.

I learnt how to make pancakes and also helped filling them, I helped pealing vegetables , cleaning rooms and changing the sheets. Also learnt how to make the gulyas(so delicious).

This experience would not have been the same without the amazing group of people who work there, they were the funniest, craziest and kind hearted.

I could not feel more lucky 😊

It has been one of the best volunteering experiences we've had so far. The tasks aren't demanding at all and the schedule is REALLY flexible with lots of free time to discover the amazing places Hungary has to offer. However, what we appreciated the most was the hospitality of the people working there, starting from the owners (Viktor, Zsófi and their little daughter, Csepke) to the workers (Ádám, Bea, László, Olivér...) who have been amazing hosts, and made our stay unforgettable. They are always willing to help and they are all really interesting people to converse with and learn from.

This is a place for those who want complete isolation. The activities include: to clean the rooms, to organize the beds, to spend many hours frying pancakes, to select cans for recycling, to take the trash in plastic bags and put them in a container, and to put wood in a system to warm the building.
If you are looking for a place to isolate yourself, this is a good one. You can enjoy the trees, bats and birds at night. But if you need social contact with people at your age or other travellers to talk, then it is not.

It was the best experience as a volunteer that we had. Viktor is an amazing guy to talk with and to laugh with, he helped us with everything we needed. We felt like we were part of a familly there!
The terrain on the mountain is astonishing. The place is so calm and peaceful full of great energies♥️

If I could I wouldn't leave. Amazing experience, everything is very good! Dormitory, structure, food, staff. Victor is a wonderful person, always very kind and friendly. Bea, László, Matt, are great work partners. I will miss working with these people. I learned a lot from Hungary culture. I hope to come back here again. My best volunteer experience! Love you guys.
And Victor, thank you so much for fixed my glasses, I'm very grateful.
