The Experience
Hi! We are a small hostel in the Scottish highlands, we are needing a volunteer to help us with general household duties. Making beds, hoovering, toilets/showers, gardening etc. Cleaning starts at 10:30 am until 14:30 pm so you still have your day to explore. 24hrs work a week, 6 days a week for 4 hrs a day. If you think you'd be a great fit for the team let us know!

The hostel and its community is an absolute dream. The work is exactly as prescribed and the communication was always good. On Sunday we could give our preferences for the next week to the manager and they were always respected. The facilities are good and you can be assured that you'll have everything you need. We had lots of fun as a team and at the same time could always rely on one another. the hostel Willy is a great place that has lots to offer. Nice cafés, a cinema, nights out at the pub with the volunteers and guests and lots of hikes and beautiful nature! I can't wait to be back :)!

I've never felt more welcomed into a place than here, the hostel has given me the opportunity to meet some extraordinary people and gain valuable skills. It was a perfect balance of work, socialising, and moments to sit by the fire with a book. The location is perfect for an avid explorer, with the west highland trainline providing access to an abundance of beautiful Scottish gems. Such a fulfilling experience to say the least! I will look back on my memories here with so much fondness.

If you love nature and you want to explore the highlands of Scotland, then the hostel is great option for you. The managers were very friendly and flexible with our schedule and the work is pretty minimal. The hostel is small but cosy and makes you feel right at home. My favorite part of my volunteering was meeting sooo many travelers. The hostel is what you make it. If you bring it upon yourself to initiate activities with the guests and other volunteers then you will have plenty to do during your time here.

I loved my time there, the hostel is so cozy and the host, the other volunteers and the guests were so nice. It's perfect if you like meeting people,hiking and being in touch with nature, and even though it's not a big city you have different supermarkets to choose, a cinema, cafés, pubs, shops, bus station, train station, etc It was not my time in one of the Scotland's Top Hostels and I loved all the experiences I've have in these hostels. Feel free to ask me if you have any doubts or want some recommendations!
