Our experience with Dr. Jacobs, Nicci the school Academy and his family was life changing. He and his family were very inviting and thoughtful. They welcomed our family with open arms and our children played together everyday. We indulged in local cuisine and traditions. It was so good to break down cultural barriers and stereotypes on both ends. More than anything, our time at the school Academy was moving and inspiring. The children(as well as the teachers and Dr. Jacobs) were excited, thirsty for knowledge and open and willing to receive our family, our suggestions, and our ideas.

Jacob and Lavender were great host. The school has some amazing teachers there making major moves with the students. the school of Mbita Nyanza is very underfunded and everyone is trying to make some money. Sitting on Lake Victoria, you have beautiful scenery that you wake up to everyday. Please expect to raise funds for things needed for the school. We were able to get many things accomplished. Uniforms, desks, mats, payroll for a month, socal media presence, a sustainable development project, but more importantly, the process to help those in need. Real change happens here.
