We are a new rescue centre for stray dogs in the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Peru. This is an exciting time to get involved with us. We need help with: the daily operation of the rescue centre, hosting tours of the shelter for visitors, and working with the local population to raise awareness in dog welfare.

All the dogs are adorable; spending time with them was truly a wonderful experience. Emily is really a kind-hearted person, and I could see how dedicated she is to the animals. I stayed for one month, enjoyed investing and had a really nice experience with the elderly and disabled dogs. The host Emily is sweet, and loves sharing stories.
Im especially happy that Blanca dog recently found a new home! She even took me on long walks and hikes—such great adventures.
I learned grooming skills, gained more confidence, rand nice felt like part of the family. A meaningful volunteer experience that I highly recommend! 🐾❤️

I had the most amazing time at the shelter, Emily is one of the kindest people I have ever met and truly loves each of the dogs and cats at the shelter. Angus was so helpful and a great addition to the shelter and Charo is so thoughtful and kind. I extended my stay as I enjoyed the work so much and loved each of the dogs. I would highly recommend volunteering at the shelter if you are looking for a rewarding and wholesome opportunity. Thank you so much Emily, I will miss you and the kids ❤️

Had an amazing time here. Emily and co. were very welcoming. Spending time with the dogs and cats was so rewarding, they were so sweet. The tasks were very simple, you'd often be finished with in 3 hours. One thing to note is if there aren't many volunteers around, you will have to stay at the shelter to keep an eye on the dogs. The surrounding area was beautiful

I had a great time at the shelter! The tasks are well organized and explained. We were a nice group of people at the end of my stay! Emily is such a superwoman and inspired us all by her leadership and drive. The dogs, where do I even start?? They gave me more hope, love and inspiration than I possibly could give to them! Such a loving experience over all and I will come back for sure. As of accommodation - make sure to pack some warm clothes because the bungalow is a bit chilly at night! I could have wished for more hot water in the shower:) Kitchen's good but be careful with the gas.
