For this job, you must have experience in gardening and with animals. We have 4 goats. Gardening work, taking care of the goats (cleaning their shed, etc.), cleaning our guest rooms, and sometimes customer service, dealing with the public in the café, and some kitchen duties (serving food, washing dishes). We only accept boys for the job. There is no wifi. The photos are just of the job site.

I'm truly delighted and grateful to have discovered this magnificent place, Le Jardine the guest house, and to have met Sandra and her family – which also includes six adorable goats. Sandra taught me so much in such a short time, not just about daily tasks, but she also gave me life lessons that I will always carry with me. This experience transformed my three-month trip to Japan; over these three months, thanks to this experience, I’ve come to understand so much more about myself, about Japanese culture, and about the strange and unique connection each of us has with nature and animals.

Volunteering at Le Jardín has been a mesmerizing experience; I made it to connect with nature. Onomichi is a small but beautiful town. It's a perfect place if you want to disconnect from chaos of big cities for a while. It can be a bit lonely if you're use to interact with people but Sandra and her family will definitely make you feel like home. I'm really glad I got here. Definitely, a lifelong experience.

My stay at the cafe was short but very meaningful. I am very happy to meet Sandra and her family. They are warm and very welcoming. They ensured I had all the things I need at home including food, toiletries, detergent and heating (it gets very cold at nights and early mornings.)
I tended to 4 adult goats which I would say challenging at first but you will get used to it. They are gentle and sweet and eat a lot. After few hours of walking, you may tend to other things like cleaning the yard, watering the plants, etc. I recommend everyone to try this experience. Onomichi is beautiful.

The guest house, was a beautiful experience full of nature with taking of two goat that became 4 with two baby been born, charming place with everything you need, I highly recommend this volunteering if you wamt to learn more about perma culture and about animal care, Sandra and is family are lovely people with good attention,you will feel welcome, thank you for everything ❤️
