Description

For host families to afford the expenses of mainly feeding volunteers, they need some support (from 4-5$ a day) from the volunteers to buy food and to help with the water for shower and electricity. Host families here offer four meals a day since that is our tradition. Breakfast, lunch, branch of tea (snacking), and dinner). Host families here will be taking care of the newcomers, WorldPackers where they will stay in a comfortable environment

The Experience

We are an NGO that started 4 years ago and had welcomed many volunteers of different backgrounds and from different nations. We are based in Sale in a small town called ‘Karia’. What’s special about us is that the cultural and language exchange project we gave birth to has been successful in terms of shaping the thinking of the forgotten and marginalized youth of Karia.

I had been in the organization 2 months and actually I only worked as an English assistant twice within my whole staying period. What's more, I'm motivated a lot by the last session I attended, our lovely students prepared the Chinese self-introduction as they had been informed that it's the last time for me to join the class. Most of my time is to stay with my host family in Qoriaa, Salé. I love my host family to bits, and seems like I find my Moroccan family in the world! I would recommend this worldpacker experience, if you want to be involved in the local the organization and an independent traveler.
