I had such a lovely time here. Helen and Phil are great hosts, and everyone in the hotel room is so lovely and welcoming. One of the great things is how close it is to the train station, which makes it really easy to get around and explore. The town is lovely with lots of different walks you can make where you will most definitely meet some of the new forest horses and donkeys.

This was my first time volunteering and I must say it was truly a wonderful experience. The atmosphere has been very welcoming and I've learned a lot from working with the other housekeepers especially. I definitely recommend it, if you're looking for a comfortable stay in a beautiful location! Helen and Phil are easy to get along with :)

I absolutely recommend the hotel as an experience for any volunteer. In the month I stayed there I felt really welcome, and everything was exactly as presented on the host's page and agreed beforehand with Helen. The work is not demanding if you have the patience to learn and the flexibility to switch tasks every once in a while, and the kindness and livelyhood of the people around makes it feel rewarding. The room is cosy and you will have everything you need, the area is well connected to towns and cities and quiet enough to let you relax and explore nature. I had a great time, thank

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel so much!! Helen,Phil and the team were really welcoming and it didn't take long for me to feel like being part of the team. The other Volunteer during my stay, Maddi, was super nice and supportive. The working hours were most days from 11 to 16 for me, leaving me enough time before and after work. After finishing work in the rooms i went to help in the tearooms. On my free days I went to see a couple cities which I could easily reach by train or bus and explored the beautiful new forest. I definitely recommend volunteering here, i had a lovely time. thank you!!

The last year and a half at the hotel has absolutely flown by, and I've loved every second of it. The team quickly became like family to me, and every single person played a part in shaping my personal growth and development. I won't sugar-coat it—you'll work hard, but the experience is incredibly rewarding and worth every moment. The skills, memories, and friendships I've gained here will stay with me for life. A huge thank you to Helen and Phil for giving me this amazing opportunity, and to all the volunteers I had the pleasure of sharing this journey with.
