I had a great experience staying with Ivor and Sillar. They really made me feel like part of the family and I loved spending time with their kids. The work itself was also very rewarding. It's refreshing to see how willing the kids are to learn and I felt privileged to be trusted with part of their education. This experience was somewhat of a challenge for me personally as you do spend almost the whole day with the kids and constant behaviour management and task juggling is tiring but if you lean into it you will truly get so much out of it. Honestly, well worth it.

I had an amazing experience volunteering with the school! Sillar, Ivor and their lovely children made me feel at home. I had an amazing experience and teaching with the school children felt meaningful and seeing them learn new things everyday made me feel like I made an impact! I would 100% recommend this experience and host! :)

Sillar and the kids were beyond hospitable, welcoming and simply amazing! They have a beautiful project! Being with them allowed me to immerse in their culture and truly understand the day to day of most Zambians!
Expect to live the way they do, which will probably be very different to the way you do, but that is simply the beauty of it! I couldn’t be more great full with Sillar and family for my time with them! I miss you already

Teaching English to the children touched me deeply — their smiles, curiosity, and love will stay in my heart forever.
Sillar, the host, is doing an incredible job with very limited resources. She truly needs support on every level — from educational materials to hands-on help.
The only things is that maybe they can put the extra fee in the page so volunteers are aware of the payment. Besides that, nothing else to say except that I miss them already and they're always in my heart. ❤️
