The Experience

We're a quiet and cosy hostel located in the heart of Heraklion, the starting point of every expedition within the unique island of Crete. Our neighbourhood, "lakkos", is in the centre of the city, minutes away from all the sights, restaurants, and nightlife. We are seeking for a responsible, friendly, and passionate individual to help at our hostel. Duties include Check-in/check-out as well as House keeping & General cleaning

I had an amazing time at the hostel in Heraklion for one month! I made great friends with the other volunteers & guests of the hostel, & the work was straightforward for the month. It was a rotation between cleaning shift or reception, & the monthly schedule was made quickly after I arrived so I was able to plan ahead & travel around Crete on my days off. Hector was really kind & friendly, & communicated well. Overall I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone who wants to get to know Crete!

Had a really good time here. It was my first time volunteering and the hostel was perfect for that because the work is really easy, the staff is lovely and the guests were nice. You also have enough time to explore more of the island and to just chill out at the roof. Really felt like a home and i miss it so much <3
