My host family was amazing. They were very friendly and made sure I was comfortable and all my needs were mey. The school was a blast! The children were so friendly, curious and enthusiastic. The " work" was hard to call work bc it was basically just helping the students.
It is incredible how warmly welcoming everyone was. I definitely recommend this if you want to experience life with a Nepalese family and spend time with students.

Khyam was super helpful and great! Thank you so much! I really loved meeting him. The host family was amazing as well just make sure you know it’s a very local environment before you come here and make sure that’s what you want, then you’ll love it :)) the kids at the school were so sweet, all different ages from grade 1-10! I feel like the communication at the school could have been a little bit better but you definitely learn how to be flexible, independent and to do your own thing.

For a long time, my travels were defined by observation—I was a witness to new cultures, but rarely a part of them. My time with the students at Ritambhara Pathshala, through Khyam’s organization, completely reframed that perspective. I moved from observing to immersing, a shift that allowed me to see how social systems and local geography shape the transition from childhood to adulthood. Understanding how these physical and human elements weave together became my greatest takeaway and has set a new framework for how I intend to explore the world.

My time here in the organization has been truly amazing. From the moment you arrive until the last goodbye you will feel welcomed. The school allows you to teach your own knowledge and invites you to school competitions. The kids are super curious and want to learn about everything. Staying with the host family just rounded up this incredible and immersive experience. I highly recommend everyone to visit the organization and get to know its culture and especially the people.
