A tremendous first-time solo travel. Faro is a safe and quite small city. The community is all female volunteers and everyone supported each other. Sonja and Pedro are very caring hosts and always prioritized the volunteers. There was a bit of a language barrier for me, who did not speak Spanish/the guest house, and other volunteers. But, everyone wanted to get along so it was still a great experience and I have made some great friends along the way that I hope to keep in touch with! I would defiantly recommend doing this if it is your first time traveling! Thank you, Sonja and Pedro.

I would definitely recommend this exchange! Sonja and Pedro are great hosts that are always checking in on you and making sure everything is going well! The work was never overwhelming and the accommodation was very nice for a hostel. The location is great as you can easily see various towns in the algarve by train for €10 or less! The free lunch's were delicious and were great for socializing! I really enjoyed my time here

Sonja and Pedro are amazing hosts! Since the beginning they have been super comprehensive and helped me in a difficult situation. The tasks and shifts are clear and easy. You also have 2 days off per week which is super, so you can discover amazing Algarve. This experience has been incredible and I will for sure come back to Faro. I met lots of new friends from all over the world and had a great time!! Thank you Pedro and Sonja ❤️

My experience was great! I had a lot of contact with the guests, which allowed me to practice my English. I had a great relationship with the team in general, we learned a lot from each other, I was able to practice Spanish and English with the team, too :) I made friends that I will always take with me <3 The hosts are great people, flexible and willing to make your experience as good as possible. The work went smoothly, in my view, some days more intense than others due to the flow of guests, but the hosts always balanced the amount of tasks very well. It was a great experience.

I had a great time at the guest house! It really is a big family there and everyone immediately welcomed me. It was a great way to experience Faro while getting to explore the surrounding areas. The work was as described and allowed for a lot of time to enjoy Faro. Thank you Pedro and Sonja for the amazing stay :)
