The Experience

Hello, travelers! We're a farm in northern Norway looking for some help! If you join us, here's what the experience will be like: start in the morning to feed the animals and take the horses out. Clean for the animals, preparing food for them. In the evening take the horses inside and feed all the animals. There can also be the possibility of seasonal tasks for example fixing fences, painting, etc. We hope for someone who can stay for 3 months.

This was my first ever volunteering work with Worldpackers and it was definitely and amazing experience. Bjorn and Nina are very nice and friendly people, who make you feel welcomed. The work can be difficult in the beginning, but nothing that cannot be learned overtime. The accomodation was nice and cozy. And Bjorn makes amazing dinners almost every day which I will definitely miss. So if you love animals, nature and you are ok with getting your hands dirty, I strongly recommend applying to volunteer here.

My experience at Nina and Bjørn's mini zoo near the farm was truly one of the most enriching and rewarding experiences I could have had!
The work can be physically demanding at first, but being surrounded by beautiful nature and amazing animals makes it incredibly worthwhile. Nina and Bjørn are attentive, supportive, and always willing to face challenges together. They genuinely care about the well-being of their volunteers.
I learned a lot during my three months there and I am deeply grateful for everything they shared with with me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! See you soon! ❤️

Incredible experience!
Nina and Bjørn are lovely; you'll be hard-pressed to find better food than what Bjørn prepares! 🤩🤩 You really connect with nature and animals, especially the horses.
Norway is special, with incredible landscapes, lots of Northern Lights, very cold weather, and lots and lots of snow!
The house is perfect, and Nina and Bjørn are always attentive to your needs. In my case, they were very patient since my English was quite poor, and I'm so grateful for their hospitality. ❤️
Being with other volunteers makes the stay much more fun!
Highly recommended!

I loved my stay here! I was very excited to volunteer at Kjaereng Gard and take care of the wide variety of animals they keep there. Living in close contact with horses, pigs, donkeys, goats, sheep, llamas and alpacas (all extremely adorable) was truly special for me, as I felt responsible for their well-being and did everything I could to ensure they had a good life.

The landscapes and views of northern Norway are breathtaking, and there are lots of interesting things to do in the city, which is easily accessible by taking a bus from a station near the farm.

You should come!

I loved my time here in Nina's and Bjorn's farm ! The work is demanding but totally manageable after a few days. I you want to be in touch with animals, people from all over EU and great outdoors this is the place to be. I'm grateful to had this possibility to explore the norwegian moutains and countryside, wich start right after you step out of the farm :)
Bjorn's food is another reason to come here, i won't forget it anytime soon.
