The Experience

We need people to help us in different functions, such as reception, cleaning, maintenance and gardening; this for being a small and familiar lodging. We are looking for dynamic, respectful and proactive volunteers. In exchange, we offer accommodation in a shared room, use of the facilities (kitchen, laundry), as well as discounts on tours of the area.

I had a really good time volunteering at the hostel! It was my first volunteering and bri explained the tasks very well and was always there in case I had questions! The hostel is really nice and has a gym and a big common area and kitchen, so it's quite easy to meet other people :)

Adrian and Bri are very lovely and attentive hosts; I felt super comfortable during my stay here. The work was as expected and they were always there to help if necessary! This was a great hostel to stay and work in and I loved my time here!

I already miss this place and can only recommend it! The other volunteers and Adrián & Bri immediately made me feel at home, and the reoccuring (and absolutely delicious) common meals and nice conversations made it feel like a second family. The work is relatively easy, and there is always someone to ask. It's also fun to meet other travelers when working at the reception. The hours leave a lot of room for other activities, and Adrián and Bri were always understanding and flexible hosts, and lovely people. I couldn't have hoped for a better first volunteering, and I hope to return someday! <3

I loved my experience at the hostel. The work was easy and actually pretty fun:)I meet a lot of people and fell in love with the place.The hostel is really nice! Bri and Adrian are the nicest people ever, they are so welcoming and caring. Even tough it says that you have to cook your own meal they sometimes asked to join when they cooked and Adrian's cooking was amazing. All in all I'm so happy and grateful for my experience in La Fortuna and I can recommend the volunteering to everybody who is open to meet new people! The staff and other volunteers are so great and made my experience perfect
