I recommend volunteering at MACERUDET if you'd like an authentically local Uganda experience, you will involved in various ways depending on your preferences. If you like cooking for example you can help out in the kitchen and learn how to cook traditional Ugandan food. You can also help out in the family garden if you prefer. I had a good experience here

William is a kind and generous person who made me feel like one of the family members. I was sick in the first week and they took care of me. I loved the school I went to every day. The children were lovely. Mr Living and the rest of the teachers at the school were always welcoming. We were surrounded by banana plantations and beautiful scenery. I won't forget this experience.

My experience in the project community has been incredible. Mr. William and the whole community are kind. I have spent a lot of time with the children in the community and they are unique and amazing. My volunteer job as a video maker was to visit the different schools in the area. Being a the project area, the house where I stayed does not have all the services, but this allowed me to fully experience the local life. Very grateful for all that the whole family and community have done to welcome me.

My experience in community of the project was incredible. Mr. Mulindwa and all his support group are kind and always willing to help you. I had the opportunity to share a lot of time with the children of the community and I simply received a lot of love, love can be read in their eyes. My job as a content writer and video maker, was to visit the different schools in the area, to create content and promote the activities of the MACERUDET. As a the project area, the house where I stayed doesn't have all services that can found in a city, but kindness and human value there, exceeds every material need.

The few problems were managed and solved pretty well together. The village and the accomodation are the project but you get in to it very quickly, no issues. The only problem that someone can find is the toilet. WiFi is not provided, you have to pay for the data but the network outside the house works good. Calculate also the money to bring for transportation. Staff and kids are kind and lovely. They will make you fell part of the family. The food is delicious. My work as a teacher at school was awesome and put me in a good mood everyday and leaves me with unforgettable memories.
