This hostel is in the center of Merida and very near public transportation to go to beaches, ruins, cenotes, etc.The best part about volunteering here is the community. People hangout together and cook for each other often—it feels like a family. The working hours are reasonable and Adrian is open to flexible days and hours. The time of year you come will impact your trip, Merida can get so hot that it’s difficult to go out and do anything. The good news is there’s a pool if you want to spend the day in the hostel. My 3 weeks there were nice.
