The Experience

Join us to assist with repairs and maintenance and housekeeping. Tasks include a bit of carpentry, improving insulation, mold/dust cleaning, small house fixes, gardening, and outdoor care. Flexible schedule (25 hrs/week, 2 days off, always respected). Experience in carpentry/maintenance is ideal, but curious learners are welcome. Guidance always provided by our management team, that knows a lot about repair too. :)

Had the best two months in Sagres!!! Aldeia is such a wonderful and chill place full of awesome people! It was my first volunteering experience and I grew a lot. Looking back at it, I couldn't have imagined a better experience and I will be back for sure. Can wholeheartedly recommend if you want a surf and beach lifestyle in one of the prettiest places in Portugal (yes I'm biased)!! Lots of love and obrigada💗

It was my first time volunteering and I left Sagres very satisfied about my experience. In Aldeia the shift are well organized and the work is not too hard, it was really great to use the surf equipment for free and it is also possible to have a transport to the surf spots in you free days. The staff house where the volunteers stay may seem a little too small at first, but it gives you the opportunity to connect more with the other volunteers. I'll never forget the great time I've had in Sagres, the amazing landscapes and the wonderful people I met there!!!

I really enjoyed my time in Sagres!💛✨ Even though it’s a small and quiet town, I loved the time we could spend just relaxing, whether at Aldeia or at the beach. The volunteers live in a separate house close to Aldeia - it’s small, but cozy and has everything you need. Our manager Carla was the best! 🫶🏼 She always took care of us and made sure everyone felt comfortable and happy. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking for a slower and more peaceful experience in Portugal.☀️ I hope to get back someday!

It was my first time volunteering and I truly enjoyed every day of the trip! Sagres is a small town with a great atmosphere, and I met many wonderful people there. The team was amazing, open and friendly from the beginning and always ready to help. The shifts were well organized and not too hard, the 2 days off per week were enough to enjoy the ocean and the city. It also meant a lot that we could use the surfboards and wetsuits, which made the experience even more fun. I warmly recommend this place to anyone and I'm sure I will return to Aldeia someday!

I really liked my stay at Aldeia. During the working hours there was enough time to connect with the guests and still get all the work done in time :) There was a very friendly and chill atmosphere in the house which I really liked. I would definitely recommend staying at Aldeia!
