I really enjoyed my time at the camping, from the great views of the mountain to the endless trails in the area and meeting guests and fellow volunteers. The work is super reasonable and the facilities are fantastic. The team is also flexible and laid back. You can also meet members of the surrounding community and get a sense for what life at 4000 meters is like. Would absolutely recommend!

I was extremely disappointed with my experience. Nothing was as advertised in the job spec, and there was effectively no communication from the host. It was advertised on the job spec that I was to just do social media promotion through photography and videography. However the manager at the hostel explained this was only a small part of the job and I was expected to clean beds and help make meals for guests. The main incentives that were offered in the job spec also didn't exist. Like free hiking tours and discounted tours. I travelled 4200km to get here and even came early at their req

We had a very lovely experience! We spent the two weeks with Diego, super kind, calm, good vibes and a great host! The tasks are simple, we had free time to explore the area and enjoy the refuge itself. The meals were delicious and being immersed in that landscape was a gift. It was a very enjoyable and enriching experience to be able to collaborate there!! All the amenities were provided to us and the tasks were accessible. There was a lot of exchange with local and international travelers doing mountain tourism and also leisure tourism; the place is very welcoming, as is the staff! We really enjoyed the hikes in our free time, away from guests, La Chorrera, Machay Temple, etc. We shared the two weeks with Diego, who cooks very well and was always available 🤗; without a doubt we highly recommend this volunteering!!!

The location is unbeatable, with stunning views of the campsite! The facilities are very practical and comfortable; they have everything you need for a great experience. The tasks are simple, maintaining the common areas, attending to guests, and staying on top of whatever is needed. The meals are very tasty!
The only point to improve is the relationship with the owners of the place; it feels like a formality, what you came for as a volunteer and that's it. There is no exchange or interest in something more human. But I would definitely recommend this place, you won't regret it!🙌

My experience was very pleasant; Don Manuel and Neiser were very kind at all times, and they cook delicious!! An excellent place to connect with nature and enjoy beautiful views from Chimborazo. The tasks were easy: help in the kitchen, do the general cleaning of the guests' areas, and help with the room services. Thank you very much for the experience!!

My experience at the the camping was very rewarding. Dawn and having the opportunity to behold the the camping in all its splendor is something worth living for. Regarding volunteering, the place is very quiet. It is a perfect place to disconnect. The people who accompany the volunteering are very kind and friendly. It allows you to immerse yourself in the local culture. The activities are simple, they are divided by hours throughout the day.
