Miguel and André are more reserved, they will send you messages daily telling you their tasks, which involve cleaning rooms and common places of the the guest house. They help and are always very kind in everything they ask or need! You are at ease and independently during your stay, which I particularly find spectacular! They are amazing people with a very good heart. I highly recommend it, but not as a first volunteer. I don't recommend it for people who need to be guided step by step..it's for independent and responsible people.

This was the best volunteering experience I've had since I started volunteering a year ago. It's the perfect place for anyone looking for a peaceful environment and willing to be proactive and genuinely help. Every morning, Miguel sends the day's tasks on WhatsApp, usually preparing the rooms after check-out and doing small cleaning tasks in the common areas. The work is easy to finish, and after that, it's all about taking the initiative to help wherever needed. Miguel and André are amazing people. I hope to see you both again soon. My experience was bad, I had to leave early. I experienced Miguel as an involved and kind host, with a clear intention to create a good experience, but also unreliable, manipulative and passive aggressive. There were issues with training, communication, reliability and safety. I ended up leaving because he insisted I sleep one night in an extremely dirty laundry room, full of trash with wet towels lying on the floor for days - see Maps review. Offers to change dates were made several times, followed by threats to not extend, and refusing to commit and confirm the dates on WP.

I really enjoyed my time in the guest house, Portugal! Even though it was the low tourist season, I had a great experience staying at Miguel's guesthouse. The place is calm and relaxing, and there are many beautiful spots to visit around the area. The tasks were simple and easy to complete, and Miguel was always kind and helpful. I definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking for a peaceful stay by the coast!
