I had a great time in the home. Fellow staff and management were all easy to get along with and I almost instantly felt at home. The nature is beautiful with many hikes and trails and the onsens are amazing, I would definitely recommend!

My volunteering experience in the home was fantastic! I enjoyed it so much that I extended my stay. Dan, the other volunteers, and the beautiful nature made it truly special. Work hours were respected, and in our free time, we explored many hikes and local spots. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a rewarding and enjoyable volunteering experience.

The nature is gorgeous; there are plenty of hikes and onsen to enjoy. The house is old but comfy after you get used to it! It's pretty big so there's a lot of work to do to keep it clean. As other reviews said and as always in a group house, the cleanliness will depend on the group. I was there with a few people only and we all got along great while each mostly doing our own thing . I imagine in winter it's much more lively. Dan is quite nice and tries to be flexible but at the end of the day it felt much more like a job than a collaboration. You have to push a bit to get what you need!

Dan is a great guy, he's so cheerful very friendly, calm, funny, always giving some advices about how to znjoy the surrounding which is beautiful. The house is great too, big, nice matress, food wise the organisation is great too. I left a bit earlier beacause I felt a bit lonely since we were only two volunteers at this point. I got unlucky because i am sure when there is more people, the mood in the house might be amazing. I recommend !

I had a good time at the resort, Dan and his family are very welcoming and kind. I was very lucky to arrive in time for a school summer camp - so I got to help with that for a week and did some really cool activities with the kids. I helped one day in the beach, and then the rest of the time we painted the outside of a hotel they are renovating! Thanks for having me.
