The Experience

Hi, my name is Ida. I was a teacher at a formal school until 6 years ago. I resigned to help my husband organize his institution, a learning centre (non profit organization). My husband built it 16 years ago. The institution concerns community based education. We are located in Sidoarjo, a small city in East Java. Our Institution has 3 general focuses: English improvement, Chinese improvement and school subjects improvement program.

The people are very respectful and love guests and they usually respect and love each other. I enjoyed my stay. The time passed quickly. Mrs. Ida and Mr. Zamroni. A very respectful couple The work is not difficult, on the contrary, it is very enjoyable. You meet students who you will be happy with teaching them. Thank you all, I wish you success.

I truly enjoyed my experience teaching English to children—they were incredibly motivated, and I've never seen kids with such big, genuine smiles. The family I stayed with took great care of me, offering delicious meals and making me feel right at home. In my free time, they were so thoughtful and proactive, always suggesting activities and helping me explore their beautiful country. This was one of my first experiences like this, and it's definitely one of the best I've ever had.

Amazing volunteering, is a project with social mission, with beautiful values and dedicated people working to bring opportunities to everybody in the community. You get involved in the school family and they make you feel at home. Everything is clear regarding to duties and all the promises are fulfilled. Working with young people gave me the opportunity to inspire with my history and teach about my culture, while I was learning about Indonesian culture. Was a short time but very valuable. A small detail is the house is not very clean, I decided to help Ida as she is very busy.

Super recommended, Ida and Roni are charming, as are all the people around them. They were very attentive to making sure I felt good and rested. I was surrounded by really kind and wonderful people. The English classes are very fun and easy for people to learn. faster, you can share free time visiting the market, and then eating together, a truly immersive and unforgettable experience to get to know Indonesian culture, thank you very much, I hope you can visit Spain one day

Ida and Roni are excellent hosts. I got to meet so many wonderful kids during my stay. I am missing them so much already. The place was tough to adjust to for me, due to being a light sleeper and new to travel, but they were very kind, empathetic and helpful.
