I stayed at the farm for one month. Heyner and his whole family was really welcoming and friendly even before I arrived. If you stay here you will be surrounded by nature 24/7 it is an amazing experience. Working hours where always respected and everyone was expressing their thankfulness, so I really felt appreciated for the work I was putting in. Two things to be aware of: you need some basic Spanish knowledge to make your stay easier, also some of the everyday tasks can be challenging in terms of physical strength. I had no problem with this at all, just be aware. Loved my time there!

We really loved our 2 weeks stay here! I was always reading kind of reviews that the volunteers felt like in family, however I never tought it can really happening but as we arrived we felt really like in a family from the first second till we left the farm! Heyner and Jenny are the most welcoming and true hearted people whit whom we met during our world trip(since 10 months). Regarding the farm, it is so beautiful full of wildlife and some adorable dogs cats, horses, etc. You can get there a real farm experience! We really felt in love with this farm and left a peace of our heart there❤

Staying at the farm is an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone. The family exude warmth, positivity, and gratitude for all that they have. They welcome volunteers in and quickly make you feel a part of the family. The farm is beautiful and I found it interesting to learn about the hard work that goes into the daily upkeep. The work can be difficult at times due to the heat, but it is rewarding to see tangible progress each day. I would recommend that future volunteers pack long sleeve shirts, long trousers, and closed toe shoes/socks, this will help decrease bug bites.

I felt very welcomed and had a nice sleeping arrangement in separate quarters from the family which was so cool to share with other volunteers. I surprised that one of the hosts had good English, that was helpful because I don't speak Spanish. But I also got to learn alot of new words! I got to work with the goats so did a couple of hours in the morning and afternoon, mostly a really cool job! They cook amazing food and make fresh juice often from their own fruit trees. The place is an animal paradise, often saw monkeys, heaps of birds, squirrels. Lovely experience! Pura Vida alright!!

Yelah is a very nice and reliable person and the quality of her work was perfect. She really cared about our goats and was well integrated into the family. We really enjoyed having her on our farm and highly recommend her.

It was a great experience! On the Farm I really experienced the local living in Costa Rica. The tasks are not to difficult and the time schedule is not really strict. I would recommend to already speak Spanish, because most of the people living there can't speak English. But it's also possible to communicate if you don't speak Spanish.
