The family was friendly, Cristina speaks French, otherwise you can learn Italian. On the other hand, I think I arrived in a very busy period for them and he did not have time for me. The objective of this Woofing was to discover the local culture, to have an exchange and to learn Italian. But in 3 days I felt that he didn't have time for me and didn't care about me, I was there to work. So I shortened my stay. Nevertheless, it all depends on what you are looking for, the family is friendly, and I had to arrive at the wrong time.

I needed help during a hazelnut harvest, I left to do my job as a veterinarian at 6 in the morning and returned in the evening. My husband took care of my children and the hazelnut harvest, do you think we had time to turn you around? You need flexibility dear girl, you could have taken a bus to go wherever you want, go hiking (near us there are hundreds of mountain trails). You told me that you didn't like the job and that's why you left, you weren't even honest and you got me into trouble because I organized myself knowing that you were there and I didn't call other volunteers leaving us alone.. if you make a commitment you have to respect it!

Having spent this time with a traditional Italian family not only let me be immerse in varied aspects of their culture, their language, their idiosyncrasy, but it also let me visit picturesque and amazing natural places. I was invited to the kids' final festivals, to the beach, to the theatre, to outdoors live music shows and to share delicious typical food at friends' houses. With reference to work the instructions were provided in a clear and precise way.

We stayed for 1 month. The work to be done was easy and the schedules were flexible, we were autonomous on the tasks to be done and we are very happy with the work we had the opportunity to do. We were able to take a very nice walk near the volcano with the host's. For the rest of our stay we decided to rent a car to be able to move more easily and be able to visit Sicily (which is beautiful) Stefano and Cristina are very nice. Thank you for their welcome 🙏
