Staying at José's place has been a great experience! He's a charming individual with great knowledge about the world, and a lot of good stories. Furthermore, he is very helpful and patient to one learning Spanish, so my Spanish has vastly improved while being here. The work depends a lot on what tasks are at hand, but is generally very achievable. This is a less strict, but more intimate experience, as he only has 1-2 voluntaries at a time and all live together in the same house. Great opportunity if you actually want to learn Spanish and learn about Spanish culture. ¡Gracias Pepe!

My experience in the eco village was so nice! José is such a kind and lovely person. I had a great time with him and the other volunteer Suze, so many fun evenings and interesting talks. It was an adventure between a lot of orange trees and no running water haha, but it's just the beginning of a big project. I really want to come back one day, thanks for everything! :)

Very pleasant experience overall ! José is a kind and welcoming host. He treats volunteers just like his guests and believes in mutual respect. He loves to talk and we got to have many deep conversations. He is very curious and kind-hearted. The working hours are respected and, even though the work can get quite physical sometimes, he always listens to feedback and cares about the volunteers' wellbeing. Although the project is about sustainability, it is still in the beginning phase of it for now. Also, as of October 2023, there is still no running water and stable electric grid on site.

It was a lot of fun staying at the farm! I learned quite a bit about sustainability and José was always friendly, empathetic and open-minded to have conversations about whatever you like. Most of the work was done before noon because than it got way too hot on most days. Puedo recomendar el campo mucho. José y los otros voluntarios ayudaron a que la estancia fuera súper :)

It was my first volunteering gig and I can't imagine it being anywhere else. José is such a kind and welcoming person..! Under his wings I felt like a princess and although I didn't know any Spanish, there was no problem in communicating with one another. His orange plantation is very close to the city of Museros and public transportation via metro to Valencia is excellent! And although it was really hot 😂, I had a great time, felt absolutely safe and I'm hoping we'll meet again in the future... Gracias, amigo!
