The Experience
Our hostel is located in Beitou, north part of Taipei. Beitou is one of the Top Ten Small Tourist Towns in Taiwan. It only takes 2 minutes to arrive our hostel from Beitou station ( MRT Red Line). Many famous scenic spots, including National parks and hot spring, are within a half-day trip. We are very close to your need, such as local-flavor restaurants, breakfast vendors, coffee shops, fruit stands,post office and traditional night market.

Sunny and the other staff were so welcoming and generous! They gave us a welcome dinner, brought local snacks for us to try, and gave recommendations for things to do around the city. The owner would also drop by and make it a point to say hi to you and get to know you. The work was easy, about 2 hours max. The length of the work day depends on how many beds there are, and it also helps that they emphasize teamwork here (typically one person will do beds while the other does bathroom but once you finish your tasks you help the other person out). Would recommend! And beitou is a great place :)

I had very nice time in Beitou, all members of the team were very friendly and helpful, work was not hard and there were lots off opportunities what to do around. Thank you so much for this opportunity, kind mindset and exploration of local food together! :)

Volunteering at "the hostel" Hostel in Taipei was a fantastic experience. The work was light—just 2-3 hours of housekeeping daily—leaving plenty of time to explore and enjoy the city. The hostel's social atmosphere was a highlight, with opportunities to connect with other travelers and volunteers. Sunny and the team were incredibly welcoming, organising fun parties and fostering a great community. I loved the cultural exchange, cooking Indian food and learning their bubble tea and moon cake recipes. The staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating, making us feel truly at home. Thank you

My experience at the hostel was amazing ! The managers and staff are really kind and helpful and will make you feel welcome. Don't hesitate to chat with them and ask for recommendations ! Teamwork was great, with staff and other volunteers. The work is as described, we were able to finish early most of the days and I had the opportunity to explore around a lot after work, do daytrips the hostel free days and experience the local culture in Beitou. There are many good food options nearby the hostel and also hot springs resorts if you feel like having a chill time. 100% worth it !

I had a the most lovely stay in the hostel. The area is so nice : 5 min walking from the main line of subway, many restaurants, a vibrant night market, cafes. The staff is so open, always willing to help you. Do not be shy , make the first step! They can be busy but as soon as you show your interest they are the sweetest. Sunny puts so much effort into create an international environnement (staff diner are the best, so yummy) This experience will forever be in my heart.
