The Experience

We live in the countryside and we are renovating our house and we need help with the construction; it is a rather hard job, as it requires strength and energy. We also have a plantation of centennial olive trees and several gardens. We need help to harvest olives and maintain the garden. A collaboration from a couple with knowledge and experience in construction, gardening, and agriculture would be very welcome.

The House of Butterflies was the perfect place to start my volunteering journey. It's a safe, peaceful, organized, and warm environment. Living with Pili and Roger made me feel like part of their home. They are a wonderful couple, full of stories, wisdom, and a deep love for what they do. I learned so much, met incredible people, and I'm truly grateful to God for allowing me to be in this place. If you're looking for a conscious pause in your volunteering experience and you do things from the heart, this place is for you.

Such a wonderful experience with Pili and Roge; they make you feel part of it from the moment you arrive, always willing to share their knowledge and to help with whatever is in their reach, with a lot of affection. The place is beautiful, incredibly clean, comfortable, neat and organized, a space to connect with nature and good energy. I’m taking away a lot of learnings, lovely moments, and delicious food. Thank you very much for everything shared!

First of all, thanks to Roge and Pili for the hospitality and, above all, for the trust in accepting me into what was my first experience with worldpackers.
The space is fantastic, and you can see the care and attention in the way it was designed and continues to be designed. It’s all very beautiful!
The trailer is cozy and private!
The work is serious and the hours were followed as agreed; Roge has always been very flexible when needed.
Pili's food is spectacular, and on Fridays we would get together to have lunch, which was very nice!
Wonderful experience, I could not have had a better start!
