The Experience

We always has between 6 and 7 staff with a working holiday visa, so you're sure to share unforgettable memories with them in Osaka. A relatively large number of JPN language learners stay here. As many of our guests are also Japanese, you'll likely have ample opportunities for conversation. However, we do not restrict ourselves solely to JPN language learners. Those simply wishing to enjoy their stay in Osaka are, of course, most welcome!.😊

This was my first volunteering experience, and I couldn't have asked for a better one. Everyone I had the chance to meet, both the other volunteers and the Japanese staff, were very kind and welcoming, and they made me feel right at home. The work was also very doable, and the working hours were always as agreed upon, so we had plenty of free time outside of work. Additionally, the guesthouse is very cozy, the kitchen is spacious, and the sleeping area is really big, so you can keep all your stuff right by your side. Thank you all for the amazing time and for all the memories.

My stay at the hostel was without a doubt one of my best. Every single Japanese full-time staff is kind and helpful. If there was something you maybe didn't to like intended they'd always communicate very humane and kind. The work was very doable, the working hours were also always held in. This definitely felt like a second home in my four weeks I stayed here. I've made many new friends and got really comfortable here. I'd love to come back, I think the hostel does an incredible job at making you live in a homelike environment.

My time at the hostel was one of the best parts of my working holiday in Japan. I came looking for a place to stay and work, and left with real friends and memories I'll carry forever game nights, spontaneous trips, late nights talking, genuine connection. The people here made me feel like I belonged from day one and pushed me to grow in ways I didn't expect, including finally putting myself out there in ways I never had before. If you want more than just a bed to sleep in, this is the place. I'm already counting down the days to come back . Thank you for everything.

I really enjoyed this experience as a solo female traveller. I always felt safe, seen and understood from the host and other travellers as well. The tasks weren't too difficult and I had a lot of free time to travel around. The facility is really nice and cozy. Everyone was friendly and I'm pretty sure that you can find long life friends there☺️

The hostel has everything for an amazing urban volunteering experience! The Japanese staff are lovely, speak English, and make it easy to connect with locals. They always listen to our needs and make us feel at home. The hostel and dorm are spacious, giving you room to settle in and enjoy your own routines. The tasks are simple, and 15 hours a week is perfect if you want time to work, pursue personal projects, or explore Kansai. Huge thanks to the hostel team and fellow volunteers for making this hot summer so refreshing! ;)
