Absolutely loved the time we spent with Pia and her family! They taught us so much about Melimoyu, the local history, flora and fauna. We felt right at home in the hostería. Our working hours were mainly spent working at the eco-domes with Luis (gracias Luis!). We worked independently, the hours are respected and they go by fast. We really felt like we were helping Pia to make progress in her project. In our spare time we went hiking, biking, kayaking and got to share in some of the community activities as well. Thank you so much Pia! Hopefully we'll be back to volunteer again someday:)

We had a great time in Melimoyu :) Good flexibility with working schedules, good and meaningful tasks to help with. The surroundings are incredible and Pia can help you with what to do in your free time. We went for some small hikes and kayaking. The living situation was also really good, we had our own room with smart tv and everything.

We really enjoyed our stay with Pia! We worked with construction and worked the amount of hours agreed with a lot of flexility (2 days off). Pia lets you work independently without micro managing. The food was provided and was very tasty! You help clean the kitchen. The expectations here was not as clear. Heads up! Sometimes you eat lunch at 13 and dinner at 22 so bring some snacks (or buy is the well sorted mini market). There is also bread provided. Very very beautiful nature with dolphins and penguins! Our private room was great with tv and comfortable bed.

We had a great time.Pia is a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. She told us a lot about sustainability and her project. It is inspiring, how passionate she is about her project. The work was good, we had fun working in the greenhouse or in construction and Pia always made sure we didn't work too much. In our free time we did various activities in the amazing nature of Melimoyu. The house was cozy and made us feel at home instantly. We always had lunch and dinner - a good way to get to know each other. We really enjoyed our time with Pia, her family and the other volunteers.

Melimoyu is really a special place. Getting to know the area and the people who work so hard to make a life in such a harsh environment was amazing. Make sure to learn about how the place was settled and the people involved in the story. Pia is the best host! Hopefully I will be able to return to Melimoyu again! Really unique project here, proud to have helped contribute a tiny bit.
