Amazing first volunteering experience. The work isn't difficult, and once you understand the routine, everything becomes easy and relaxed. Living with other volunteers was a beautiful experience. I felt at home from the very first moment and truly felt part of a family — not only with the volunteers but also with the guests. It's special to meet people from all over the world and share moments together. Special thanks to Ezequiel, an incredible and supportive manager who makes everyone feel welcome. I'm very grateful for this experience and the memories I'm taking with me!

I absolutely loved my time in the hostel (there are 2 and I got to volunteer at the hostel Art Hostel)! There was a strong sense of belonging and family and I felt at home very quickly. The team is absolutely amazing, always helpful and supportive. We ended up doing many activities together in our free time and the vibes were generally very positive. The work schedules were fair and left enough free time to explore the island. The tasks mostly included reception of guests and some cleaning in the morning. Whenever I had a question or minor issue, the director responded quickly.

While the hostel is ok, the job is very demanding, almost to the point of being exploitative. The experience did not work for me, so I left after a few shifts after communicating with the owner. The job is far more work (6-7 hours a day, 5 days a week) than any hostel I've worked in with absolutely no benefits other than a small shared room. The job responsibility was cleaning the entire hostel by yourself every day. Far too much work for a volunteer position, and it seemed to me that no one was happy to work there. Everyone waited out their sentence just to explore the island for cheap.

Thanks a lot, Brinn!! Taking into account that you were irresponsible from the very beginning and now you’re making us look bad. Why aren’t you writing that down? Do you remember that you had confirmed for 2 months, but as soon as you arrived, without even knowing what tasks you would have to do, you said you could stay only 2 weeks? And all this without prior notice either; you’ve simply done it, which has left other people who were eager to be part of the project without a place. Best regards :)

I really love this experience working in such a great, energetic environment. I had the pleasure to meet so many different fun individuals. The team works in a good harmony so that I really felt welcome since the beginning. It's a place where you can be yourself. Besides that I was doing my best to ensure every client got the most pleasant stay. Good Communication with the guests was very important to me. I was helping as good as I can using all my 5 languages in order to communicate with guests of different nationalities as well helping my team members with german guests. Beautiful place:)

I had a good time as a volunteer and am very thankful for the experiences I made and the people I met. Working at the hostel was in general a good experience. The agreed upon hours are respected and at times the manager would even cover a shift so that we could do something together as the volunteers. There are two hostels and there are three volunteers in each one taking turns with the shifts. Just know that volunteering at this location, you will always be working alone and the work is almost exclusively cleaning, but you will definitely be practicing a lot of Spanish.
