The hostel is a place where a Worldpacker arrives as a stranger and leaves with a Puerto Escondido family. It is a beautiful, welcoming, fun hostel. It is a great environment to meet new people. Caro and Erik are great people who truly wish the best for their volunteers, they support you and are there for you when you need them. They look after their staff very well and want to make sure you have the best time in Puerto. As a bartender you do, do more work than anticipated but it is a lot of fun and if you are organised you still have plenty of time to enjoy fish tacos and the beach.

The hostel is overall a great place and a great experience! However communication with management can be highly improved. When I arrived I got very little information on my tasks and I assigned in a different area than what we agreed on online. Very little things were explained to me. And I had to ask around the other volunteers for information. The manager was very absent during my stay (1 month and a half) and would only communicate to us in the volunteer group chat and almost never face to face.

This is a great volunteer where you can meet a lot of international people, make friends and enjoy Puerto Escondido. The hostel is really beautiful, relaxing but still can get a lot of fun. Caro (manager) and Erik (owner) are great, friendly, kind and make you feel like home. One of my best experiences! (:

My experience at the hostel was amazing, which is an understatement. Starting with the place, which is beautiful, clean and organized. The staff in turn received me very well, they were super flexible when I needed to change something in my schedule, they also taught me everything related to my role. Special mention to Leanne, Cesar, Carolina and Erick (owner of the hostel) for being beautiful people and always willing to make you feel at home. This place will allow you to meet many people, have time to get to know puerto escondido and obviously, go out partying at night!
