Hello everyone! We are Nanou and Lena, a french/taiwanese couple who open a hostel in beautiful Sun Moon Lake in the middle of Taiwan. After a lot of travelling and volunteering, open our own hostel was our dream and we finally made it! We are located right at the Sun Moon Lake, one of the most famous spot in Taiwan. Surrounded by small mountains, the area have a lot to offer to the one who love outdoor activities and explore new area.

I had a great time at Sun Moon Lake! The hostel is beautiful, the beds are super comfy, and Nanou and Lena are very welcoming. The work is straightforward hostel tasks, and you get plenty of free time in the afternoons and evenings. The only small thing I'd mention is that family dinner isn't always provided, and it wasn't totally clear beforehand. Also, having a bit more variety in the food options for volunteers (beyond vegetables and carbs) would make the experience even better. Overall, a lovely place to volunteer and visit.

My time at the hostel was amazing! Nanou and Lena are incredible persons, very cool, nice people and really friendly. I was very lucky to meet people like them in my journey The work is very easy and Nanou does everything to make your life easy and nice The vibe of the hostel is incredible. Very peaceful and chill, the food is good, the lake is beautiful and you have lots to do near the hostel Thank you for accepting me at the hostel. I feel privileged to have made friends like Lena and Nanou on my journey I hope Lena, Nanou and Lilu can visit me in Brazil one day Be happy and enjoy your life

I had an awesome time at the hostel Nomad Hostel ! I loved working with the team and learned a lot about hostel management. I also a lot of lovely guests and got to improve my english chatting with them. Nanou and Lena are very welcoming and accommodating. I felt like I was part of the family. I hope i can come back as a volunteer.

I had an amazing time volunteering here! Nanou and Lena are so welcoming and kind, and I felt at home right away. The work is straightforward and gives you plenty of time to explore the lake and surrounding areas. My favorite part was chatting with guests on the rooftop (such a cozy spot to hangout) I highly recommend this position to anyone who likes meeting new people and wants to spend some relaxing time in nature!

I will genuinely miss my time at the hostel. The hostel is small but comfortable. Especially the common area on the rooftop is the perfect place to spend your evenings and meet new people. Lena , Nanou and the whole family are all incredible people and will make you feel at home immediately. There's not much to do around sun moon lake but still you'll never be bored. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature , or hikes , or bike rides. I will especially miss the home cooked meals every night- perfect for people who have been traveling a while and miss home.
