The Experience

Hi, We are a busy family of 5 living on beautiful 20 acres of forest on the Sunshine Coast. 25 min from amazing beaches. We have a sweet caravan next to our house. Guests utilise our kitchen and guest bathroom. . Your own car is somewhat essential as there is no public transport, however most young guests do not have a car and manage by getting lifts with us to the beach and the train station etc. You can come shopping with us for food etc.

It was such a pleasure staying with the family! We felt very welcome and respected. We had good communication before and during our stay, and also had lovely conversations with them and learned a lot about Australia. We didn't have our own car but the family was very flexible with carpooling and helping us get to the station or Sunshine Coast. In terms of work, it was very manageable and didn't take much of our time. We mostly helped clean the kitchen and keeping the main rooms tidy. Besides that, we spend some time cleaning the family yacht and car, and spent time with the kids. We recommend

I am very grateful for this experience. Jack and his family were a safe space for us, and their dog Bella is a pure soul. We had great conversations, and they showed us the area where they live, making us feel wonderful. We will never forget this experience, and I am incredibly thankful to have been a part of the family.

Jack and his family have created a truly special place - a real safe space where we immediately felt at home. Their kindness, warmth, and flexibility made our stay unforgettable. It felt more like staying with friends . Even without a car, we had a wonderful time. Jack and Kate picked us up from the station, and took us to the beach. This is a little paradise for anyone seeking peace, nature, and great conversations. We're so grateful for this experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful retreat in nature. We will cherish this time forever!

I had an mazing and interesting time living with the funny and welcoming Vaney family. They taught me so much about Australia and we had a lot of interesting conversations. The property is shared with the extended family, and while I was there a few guests also came through, so there were always people around, which I enjoyed! Exciting to get to experience a different way of living and the beautiful local nature! The property has got a beautiful creek, loads of flowers, and (to me) exotic plants and animals. Definitely recommend!
