I came with two of my friends for a week and we had a great time!! The farm is very remote and out there so it was the perfect time to chill and spend some good time outside. Service was pretty spotty so I would bring a book or some art projects. Alfredo was so welcoming! We had a great time laughing and playing music with him. We also had a lot of great Spanish speaking time. Paloma the horse is the best and is worth the time to bond with. The property is beautifulll and great for some long walks. It's very peaceful and quiet. And you can see incredible stars. Also we cooked such good food!

The bathroom situation is a little crazy but you get used to it. Just take it out right after you use it. You'll often have to cook for yourself. Also, the only real way to leave is by Alfredo's truck. He says if you try to walk down the driveway to the Main Street where the only bus will pick you up, that the neighbors dogs will get you. In spite of this it was a good experience, he has done a lot of impressive stuff on his farm and if you're interested in building a homestead of sorts he is a treasure trove of information. He's also a guitar master, check him out on bandcamp.

Zack, you could have started the other way around; it was a good experience, I learned to bake bread, I learned how solar energy works, the host cooked several times, the food was healthy and abundant, I drank good wine, the tasks were light and fun, I learned about horses, the host took me in his pickup to the village... but I was uncomfortable with the bathroom (in this water-scarce area using a dry toilet and turning our waste into soil is very convenient) and the farm is isolated. A hug

A fascinating project with a beautiful vision that is worth getting to know and supporting. There is still a lot to develop and there are different ways to collaborate. Each contribution, idea, or knowledge is warmly received by the host, making the experience an enriching exchange.
The place is beautiful, surrounded by nature. The lack of electricity invites you to slow down and reconnect with the simple and essential things of life, which we often fail to see and value. I recommend experiencing this to remember what is truly important and to be part of this beautiful project!

Wonderful experience ✨️. Alfredo is committed to ecology and sustainability; it's an excellent opportunity to learn and contribute knowledge for the development of the ranch. It's very nice to listen to nature and observe its details. I would love to return and see how the project has improved. Highly recommended and good luck to the next volunteers 💪❤️

What to say about the ecovillage! A wonderful place, where you connect and at the same time disconnect, those were great days and I learned a lot. Grateful to Alfredo for his good vibes, company and teachings :)
