Sahirin and his family gave us such a warm welcome. Everyone is very happy to learn English, and in return, we also have the opportunity to learn Indonesian and Sasak. It's a truly valuable cultural exchange, filled with wonderful moments together!

We had been spending 1 month in Sahirin place and it was wonderful. We live in middle of nature close to Rinjani mountain, spending most of our time with local people : Sahirin family (sisters and dad), friends to discuss with and kids always happy to meet you.
Our classes was amazing teaching English to kids for their education and adults to improve their skills to become local tourist guides. Our language exchange was fulfil with daily Indonesian and Sasak from locals but also FR, SP and DE from Sahirin.
Always ready to make us feel great, we visited many places : beaches, waterfallsโฆ

Volunteering here and teaching English was a really great experience. I really enjoyed helping the kids and seeing them get more confident with their English and also teaching his sister at night. It was also great getting to learn about the local culture while I was there. Sahirin was a great host and made everything easy and welcoming.
His family are also amazing and they always want to speak with you.
We visited a nearby waterfall which was beautiful and tried all sorts of new foods, as well as camping at a beach!
I'd definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about volunteering here.

My experience was truly amazing. From the start, they make you feel like you're a part of the family. They treat you like one of your own with respect and kindness. I got to try lots of yummy new local meals. When my partner got sick, they showed so much care and ensured he was eating and resting. The kids are always eager to learn and they have such funny personalities. You'll make a lot of special memories, everyone is welcome here. Definitely would recommend 1000000/10 THANK YOUUU!!!!

Volunteering here is such a special experience. From the very first moment you are welcomed and made to feel very comfortable. The sisters, especially pika and Nurmisah, made sure I was never hungry, always telling me โuntil full sisterโ at every meal! In the afternoon I would teach children, who were so lovely and fun it made it a pleasure to teach them. The mornings were flexible, you can farm, babysit or Sahirin will take you to do and see incredible things! What Sahirin and family have is very special, so thank you for letting me experience it, I loved it and would really recommend it!
