I volunteered at the school for two weeks and had an amazing experience! The team is lovely and does their best to make you feel welcome and connect with the children. The children are amazing—full of energy, smiles, and laughter. If you don't speak French, communication can be difficult, as English is not widely spoken. You really get to experience local Malagasy life in a small “village in the jungle.” I made unforgettable memories and am very grateful to Aina, the whole team, and especially the amazing children!

Aina and her team were very welcoming, and she was always prompt in responding to inquiries and offering help. I mainly assisted the Grade 1–2 teacher, which was sometimes challenging, so experience with young children definitely helped. I also taught basic English to staff and older students, which was rewarding due to their eagerness to learn. I stayed in the volunteer pavilion with one or two others and explored nearby areas on weekends. A meaningful experience I'd recommend to anyone patient, creative, and full of love to give.

Aina and her team are great. Their job is an inspiration for the rest of us. They make you feel part of the family from the beguining till the last minute. I believe the the school is a place where any kind of help is always welcome. There are so many good things to do. I wish I could have stay longer. The children are incredible , full of energy and joy. They are very well educated and very kind to each other. Great job!!! Thank you very much for this opportunity!!!

What a blessing it has been for me to have been accepted here. As a child of the diaspora, I was in search of my origins, and for me it was the best way to discover my culture. I was welcomed here with open arms from the very first moment. Everyone was waiting for me, ready to hug me tight. Here, it's all about sharing, joy and love. The children are so incredible… their little laughs will be missed by me. So many beautiful moments spent with them and with the teachers. I am so full of gratitude to have been able to live all of this… what a wonderful human experience.

The school is simply incredible, it's an experience worth living; I met people I will never forget. You will meet children who are kind, always willing to help but also autonomous; they help to do a lot of things without ever complaining, but they are also always ready to have fun and learn new things. This volunteer experience is simply superb; you will discover Malagasy culture, their good atmosphere and their music (zanaka Jean Paul). Thanks to the entire team of the school!
