We need a housekeeper to help us look after the properties here at Walworth Demesne. There is a Barn, a Cottage and the old Manor House where volunteers have their own space. We operate a simple Bed and Breakfast so Meeting and Greeting Guests would be part of the position. Linen, servicing rooms between stays etc would be the main part of the role. Looking after, fruit and vegetables and weeding the flower beds is also part of the role.

This was my first volunteer experience and it couldn't have been better. I spent five amazing months at the host, a beautiful and historic place surrounded by nature. Jason and Khris are kind, friendly, and make you feel like part of the family from day one. Dinners were a great way to connect with other people and practice English, and the food was always delicious. They also took us to amazing places on our days off. Working in such beautiful gardens was a pleasure, and the cultural exchange with people from different countries made it unforgettable.

Thanks to this experience, I improved my English a lot, which was one of my main goals. I also met great people and discovered the beauty of Northern Ireland.
