The Experience

In this vacancy we seek people willing to work in our garden and also to help preserve and repair our chalets and spaces. We have a lot of wood painting work, small repairs on taps, doors, windows and decks. A lot of painting is needed. Our spaces were built with reclaimed material and need caprocho to take care of them. Specific knowledge is required to perform the tasks.

My experience was deeply enriching. I learned about coffee farming, culture, and personal growth. Marcia and Tuffi were like “tíos” they cared for me, taught me, and shared generously. They was a patient and wise mentors who guided me through every stage of coffee production and gave me the confidence to get involved. Amanda helped me improve my Portuguese and was always kind and supportive. Giovanni was essential from the start, his teamwork and support made my adaptation smooth. Bruna brought balance and organization when it was most needed. George and Joel were also great teammates. Thanks

For me, being at the sítio was like receiving a big gift, especially after all the other volunteering experiences I have gone through. Here I found something very precious: time, privacy, security and freedom. And, besides all that, the beauty of the place, which for me will be unforgettable. The work in serving guests and in preparing the site’s special cakes was really rewarding. In many moments, I came to feel more a guest than a volunteer. The hosts are precious people: dedicated, committed and careful with the place and with the people they welcome

The experience at the farm was excellent, the area designated for volunteers is beautiful, everything planned was fulfilled, Marcia and Tufi are very good hosts and excellent people, they shared with us all their knowledge about coffee and the region's farm, the entire farm staff is attentive and willing to collaborate at all times! Beautiful experience, I highly recommend 100%

Volunteering at Cafetal is a great opportunity to gain new knowledge about the different stages of coffee, it's a whole new world!!
The place is beautiful, the chalets are super comfortable and the food is very abundant.
Márcia and Tufi are incredibly generous people and each of the people who work there has a huge heart.
We left with the best memories and new friends, especially Lucas and Poly, who shared a lot with endless thanks!!

It was my first experience with the WP and, honestly, it couldn't have been better! Márcia is very attentive and careful with the well-being of volunteers, and she was always available to answer all the questions. Tuffi taught me about roasting and even gave us an accordion show! All the staff at the site, Neide, Cris, Bruna and, especially, Joel, Lúcio and Dona Luiza, with whom I worked more closely, are people of great light and welcomed me as a longtime friend. And the other volunteers, Bruna, Poly, Romi and Martín, are people I hope to meet again!
