I really enjoyed my time at the hostel/Argdivan. The work was chill and working hours were always respected. The hosts own two hostels in La Fortuna, the hostel and Argdivan Hostel. Iworked at Argdivan Hostel, while all volunteers shared a room at the hostel. Personally, I didn't mind this, but it's good to know that you might not work at the hostel you're staying at and you have to go back and forth a lot. It was really wonderful working together with the other volunteers and getting to know the staff in both hostels, special thanks to George and Aron for the fun times working together! 🫶🏻

I am really between 3.5-4 stars, but I would like people to read an honest review. To start off I am so grateful to the workers at Ceiba, they were so kind and welcoming to me. They really helped me adjust and become comfortable at the hostel. The hostel itself is very nice and a vibrant place to be! The only reason for my review is that I feel there was a lot of false advertisement on the listing, especially regarding the meals and free tours. I did not feel the exchange for work was met with equal reciprocity. Overall, I am thankful I tried this experience and for the new friends I made:)

I had such a great time at the hostel and made so many friends. the job was pretty easy, however it's important to know that breakfast is not included! you get to cook one meal a day with the basic ingredients provided. there is lots to do in la fortuna, but the days can be long sometimes when the hostel is a bit quieter. i had a super awesome experience and am very grateful to lara, lautaro, ronald, and aron!!! i would definitely recommend this experience, however be mindful you definitely need fluent english and beginner spanish, or vice versa!! it's super fun and i loved it

I had such a good time in the hostel! Laura and Lautaro are super nice hosts. But the people that made me feel like at home were the workers (Ronald, David y Aron and my special Marimar) and all the other volunteers. You work as said - 6 days per week, 5 hours shifts. The schedule for the next week is given to you on Sunday, so you can plan your week accordingly. Upon your arrival you will be given a training for becoming the best the hostel receptionist :)! Everything is straightforward, fun and easy. The work includes making beds, checking in guests, reserving tours and helping the guests in gener
