The Experience

Hi there! We’re a small, newly opened guesthouse on Tsushima Island, Japan — a peaceful, nature-filled island between Korea and Japan. We run a cozy guesthouse with a small café & bar, and we’re looking for friendly volunteers who can help with light housekeeping (like making beds and cleaning) and just chatting with guests. That’s it! The guesthouse opened this January, so we’re still small — not too many guests yet —

From the first day I feel like a home! Yama and Yuka are amazing! Such a nice people, super friendly, cute, always try to do their best. They have something really special in the island. Cozy caffe and super clean and beautiful guesthouse. I have so much free time to explore and relax. If you are looking for something chill, enjoy nature, meet local people this is the place you have to go. I have just good memories. I already miss the island and people. Thank you so much for this memorable experience, I will keep for ever in my heart 🤍🥹🫰🏼

Yama and Yuka are exactly what everyone has told me they would be. They are extremely welcoming and they are very proud of their the guest house and the guest house. Working hours are always respected, it really does not take long and the tasks are extremely easy. I had many opportunities at meeting locals and sharing values and such. It is very remote, but Tsushima is truly are beautiful island and I would recommend this experience to whomever loves nature and quiet life. I will definitely miss everyone I have met on this adventure. Thank you Yama and Yuka!

My experience at the the guest house was better than i could have imagined. The hosts were the kindest humans I've ever had the privilege to meet. Everything was so clean and the environment was refreshing and serene. So many different activities, such as fishing for exotic fish, biking to ancient ruins, eating delicious food, and learning about real Japanese culture. This is a destination I would recommend to anyone seeking adventure and rejuvenation of the soul! It was so hard to leave this place ! I will definitely be back !

I spent two weeks volunteering at the guesthouse and it was honestly one of the best volunteer experiences I've ever had. The work is super fair and well organized, and I had the chance to interact with local people every day, which made it really special. Yama and Yuka are so kind and welcoming, always making me feel at home. During my stay I also made great friends and shared moments I'll never forget. The atmosphere is warm and positive, and it quickly became the kind of place where you don't feel like leaving. ありがとおお
